42.7% of HappyDotters think men should cover most or all first-date expenses, reflecting traditional views. Meanwhile, 37.5% prefer splitting costs equally, indicating a shift towards gender equality. Interestingly, 15.7% believe the person who initiates the date should pay and only 4.2% mentioned the person who earns more should pay.

Are Looks Important?
33.4% of HappyDotters found that physical appearance is moderately to extremely important when selecting a partner. This underscores the undeniable role that physical attraction plays in the early stages of dating.

What are some Relationship Dealbreakers?
Beyond behaviours like disrespect (74.7%), poor personal hygiene (70.4%), and over jealousy and controlling behaviours (68.8%), 66.4% of HappyDotters mentioned financial irresponsibility as a major dealbreaker in relationships. 58.7% cannot tolerate partners who smoke and 49.2% would avoid partners who are not open to sharing their emotions.
